Bearing Classification: Contact
According to the type of contact, the bearing can be linear/sliding or rolling bearings. The rolling element can be classified in balls, rollers or needles.
Ball bearings have Point surface contact. Its contact surface is oval when load is applied. Because of its point contact gives poor static load ability, ball bearings are suitable for low torque and high-speed applications. Ball Bearings load capacity is good for radial loads. To improve axial load capabilities some ball bearings designs have groove or angular contact.
The Cylindrical bearings have Linear contact, which means the contact surface is generally rectangular when load is applied. Linear Contact enables high radial loads, higher torque, and high rigidity. Combining tapered roller bearings in pairs enables the bearings to bear an axial load in both directions.
Our manufacturing technology occupies a very special place to secure precise surface finishing, material properties, dimensions and tolerances.
